Trauma Release Therapy for anyone who wants to feel free of upsetting past events that are affecting the quality of your life. You don't have to keep carrying this weight.
"You don't need to relive your pain endlessly. Together, we look at one past event at a time β gently, safely, and at your pace."
Do you feel like certain past events still hold power over you? Perhaps you avoid places, people, or experiences that should bring you joy β but instead bring anxiety, pain, or dread.
Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) is a gentle, person-centred process that helps your mind finally process what it's been carrying. It's not about talking endlessly about your pain β it's about carefully and safely revisiting a specific memory so the emotional charge it holds can be released.
This is not counselling. There's no diagnosis, no homework, and no need to talk about anything you're not ready for. You are always in control.
A structured, person-led approach β no surprises, no pressure. You're always in the driving seat.
We begin with a free, no-obligation chat β either by phone, video call, or in person. This is simply so we can understand what you'd like to work on, and so you can feel comfortable before committing.
In your session, we focus on one specific incident at a time. Using a structured and gentle process, I'll guide you through revisiting the memory safely β allowing your mind to process it naturally.
Most people feel a noticeable shift after even one session. The emotional weight lifts, and the memory loses its power over you. You'll feel lighter, calmer, and more free to live fully.
"I do this work because I know what it's like to feel trapped by the past."
I am a qualified Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) Facilitator, an NLP Practitioner, and an ILM-accredited Wellbeing Coach. My experience is mainly in working with survivors of domestic abuse, and I work in the community delivering wellbeing workshops to help people reclaim their sense of self.
But this isn't just professional for me β it's deeply personal.
"I received trauma release therapy at a point in my life where I truly believed I had to live a restricted life β avoiding so many experiences that would have normally brought me joy. After receiving this therapy, I can honestly say it transformed my life. I feel happy and free. And now, I want this for you."
I understand how it feels to be vulnerable, to wonder whether anything can really help. That's exactly why I created Face2Face Wellbeing β to offer a safe, gentle space where real change happens.
There's no pressure. Just honesty about whether this approach might be right for where you are right now.
If you're unsure, that's completely normal. A free initial conversation can help you decide with no pressure at all.

TIR is a structured, person-centred technique that helps you revisit a specific past event in a safe, controlled way. The goal is to allow your mind to fully process the memory so that the emotional charge it carries β the fear, the pain, the anxiety β can be released. It was developed by Dr. Frank Gerbode and has been used successfully worldwide for decades.
Not in the way you might fear. The process is gentle and structured. You revisit the memory at your own pace, and I guide you through it carefully. Most people find that instead of it being distressing, it actually brings relief β because the memory finally gets processed rather than avoided. You are always in control, and we only ever work on what you're ready for.
Traditional counselling often involves open-ended conversation about your feelings and experiences over many weeks or months. TIR is different because it's focused on specific incidents and uses a structured technique. There's no homework, no journaling, and no diagnosis. Many people who haven't found resolution through talking therapy find TIR to be the missing piece.
This varies from person to person. Some people feel a significant shift after just one session. Others may choose to address multiple incidents over several sessions. There's no minimum commitment and no pressure to book more than you need. We work at your pace, always.
Unlike traditional 50-minute therapy sessions, TIR follows your natural processing rhythm. We continue until you reach a natural end point β a place of resolution and relief. I will never cut you short or leave you in distress. Some sessions are 30 minutes, some are longer. The important thing is that you leave feeling better than when you arrived.
Absolutely. I offer sessions both face-to-face and via Zoom. Online sessions are just as effective and can be more comfortable for some people β you can be in your own safe space at home. All you need is a private room, a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera.
Yes, completely. Everything you share in our sessions is held in the strictest confidence. The only exception would be if I believed you or someone else was at immediate risk of serious harm β in which case I would discuss this with you first. Your trust and safety are my absolute priority.
That's completely okay β and very normal. I offer a free initial consultation where we can have a relaxed chat about what you're experiencing and whether TIR might help. There's absolutely no pressure to commit. Sometimes just having that first conversation can help you feel more clarity.
No commitment needed. Whether you'd like to book or simply have a conversation first, I'd love to hear from you.
